REPUBLIC OF CHAD

Our native team in the North African nation of Chad is working tirelessly to create sustainable life-change among orphans and destitute women in one of the poorest nations on earth. As we've equipped them with various small business enterprises, they've been able to sustain their orphanage in N'Djamena, a safe-house for abused children in southern Chad, and a widow's seamstress business development program. The micro-enterprise pursuits our team is utilizing include a goat farm, a solar-powered cell phone charging business, a streetside cafe, and raising cattle. Through these efforts, our native team is taking ownership in their programs to make a greater impact in the lives of their own neighbors.

ORPHAN CARE. Our orphanage in N'Djamena is currently home to 15 children who have been rescued from lives of desperation in war-torn Chad, where human trafficking is a horrible reality. Although we do not yet have our own school, the children are escorted to a nearby school where they receive a quality education, and their studies are enhanced by a computer lab recently installed on campus. Through the work of our organization, these precious children are provided a loving home centered on Biblical principals.

WIDOW'S SEAMSTRESS PROGRAM. From the years of civil war and rebel uprisings in the country, countless women have been widowed. Without their husbands' income, a majority have become destitute. We're successfully making a life-changing impact in the lives of these widows through a seamstress business development program. The business initiative is empowering widows with a practical business skill and equipment that allows them to run an in-demand business from their home.

CLEAN WATER INITIATIVE. As our native team reaches out to children and families with whatever medical assistance they can provide, we have seen countless cases of water-borne illnesses. Determined to get to the root of the problem, we've drilled two wells, and installed a water storage tank on our main orphanage campus. In offering the water free of charge to neighbors, our team has earned the respect of locals while also offering tangible life-change in the health of thousands who are served by these wells.
