Name: Viliano Gender male Birthday 2012-05-14 Age 10 Country Uganda
Meet Viliano, who is in our transitional program and is awaiting a sponsor to ensure his continued care. Since coming into the program, we’ve discovered that he enjoys running and football. With help and support from new classmates and orphan home staff, Viliano is now studying in Kindergarten and says his favorite subjects are Math and English. Your sponsorship of Viliano will underwrite his expenses, providing for his continued education, rehabilitation, access to nutritious meals and clean water, medical care, and the opportunity to grow in a loving family environment.
When you become a sponsor, we provide you with a private blog through which you can communicate with Viliano, view current photos, and receive updates of his experiences and growth. You can bring tremendous joy to Viliano through your messages of encouragement, love, and support. For the kids at our orphan homes, getting sponsored is a big deal- could you make Viliano’s wish come true?
All orphans we bring under our care, whether sponsored or not, are provided the same level of support. We care for our not-yet-sponsored orphans in faith, believing that God would not want us to turn them away on account of a lack of sponsors.
There is no difference in the care the child is provided whether half sponsored or fully sponsored. The idea of sponsorship is to anchor the child’s needs to one or two sponsors so that in the case of budget shortfalls, we would not need to send the child to a government institution. In short, sponsorship secures Viliano’s place at the home while also giving him additional support in knowing that he has a sponsor who cares about him.
Note that our hope for all of our rescued orphans is to find fully vetted domestic foster care, domestic adoption, or placement with existing relatives. Some of our orphans stay in our homes their entire childhood, while others may stay as short as three months. In the case that your child transitions out of our program, you will be automatically assigned to a new child awaiting a sponsor. In either case, we will inform you of the update.
