Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors like you, our biggest project in 33 years is no longer just a dream, it’s a living reality.
After six years of securing land, navigating bureaucracy, surviving pandemic delays, and raising nearly $400,000, our India nursing college is operating right now in our existing transitional classrooms at our India main campus.
These legacy spaces have been renovated and upgraded thanks to the generous gifts of our donors, allowing our very first freshman class of 40 students to continue their training to become Auxiliary Nurses.
While the brand-new college building continues to be constructed (now 75% complete with interior finishings well underway), these renovated classrooms are already buzzing with life, equipping young women from marginalized backgrounds with the skills to provide essential community and maternal health care in their villages.
We’re especially grateful because these renovation requirements, suddenly given by the government, could have derailed everything we had worked so hard to build.
Just weeks after celebrating our hard-won government approvals and opening the doors to our very first freshman class, officials returned with a surprise requirement that had never been mentioned during any of the initial inspections, permitting process, or six years of bureaucratic navigation.
To keep our operating permit valid for the Auxiliary Nursing program, the existing transitional classrooms at our India main campus suddenly needed to meet brand-new updated safety and educational standards, upgrades that included reinforced walls, upgraded flooring, additional classroom space, and dedicated lab areas.
Without these changes, we faced the very real risk of immediate permit revocation, which would have forced us to shut down the college and pause the freshman class that was already learning.
But our generous donors came through in the most powerful way. Gifts of every size poured in right when we needed them most. Funds were rushed straight to the field, renovations accelerated, and the existing classrooms were brought into full compliance just in time.
The college is open and thriving in those beautifully renovated legacy spaces while construction on the brand-new nursing college building continues to move forward. What could have been a devastating setback became one of our greatest testimonies of teamwork and God’s timely provision.
Every brick laid in the renovations, every classroom now compliant and ready, every student already learning in those upgraded spaces, it all happened because our donors believed in this vision.
Their gifts didn’t just meet a goal; they protected years of progress, expanded capacity, and kept the doors wide open while the new building rises.
