Donate nowObjective: Equip women in Uganda to start their own sustainable businesses.
Crafting and sewing are more than hobbies for women we serve in rural Uganda. These skills empower women to make a sustainable living, provide nutritious meals for their families and send their children to school.
At our rural outreach center in eastern Uganda, we developed a 12-month training program for women, teaching them to hand-craft jewelry, make crafts and sew clothes. The program consists of six months of crafts training followed by six months of seamstress training.
The most recent group of women began craft training in December. While they anticipate learning to sew, they’re learning to make baskets and jewelry.
Our goal is to provide them with 10 sewing machines, which will allow them to start the second phase of training.
Each sewing machine costs $120. Would you donate one machine toward a lifetime of provision for a Ugandan family?
