Our native team in Uganda operates programs in the rural district of Mayuge. Since 2009 our native team in the Maygue District has been reaching out to the local destitute population, third poorest of Uganda’s 74 districts, where 50% of the population is under the age of 15.
FARMLAND ENTERPRISE
Thanks to the support of our donors, we’ve been able to equip our native team with a diverse farmland enterprise where they grow beans, corn, potatoes, oranges, bananas, and passion fruit. They also maintain a piggery and a free-range poultry project. These resources empower us to serve over 70,000 meals to our Uganda program beneficiaries each month!
EDUCATION
Our programs are addressing the root causes of extreme poverty through education by way of two schools we operate: one rural primary school and one rural boarding high school on our main campus. The boarding high school is one of only a few accredited private high schools in all of rural Uganda.
ORPHAN CARE
Our Uganda team also hosts an orphan home where girls are provided a safe place to flourish with nutrition, clean water from our deep water well close to the home, and education through our rural primary school. You can learn more about sponsoring a girl at our Uganda orphan home here.
Our boarding high school also provides residential care to hundreds of orphans each year, along with free tuition to attend the school.
TRAFFICKING RESPONSE
We are addressing the trafficking crisis by way of prevention through education and orphan care for at-risk girls at our schools and girls home. We also operate a women’s trade school on our main Uganda campus where the women enrolled learn valuable skills in tailoring, catering, gardening, and computer literacy. This empowers them to earn fair wages and care for their families, breaking the cycle of poverty.

CLEAN WATER
We have drilled a total of three wells which provide clean water for our on-campus students at both schools as well as the local community.
MEDICAL CARE
Also located on our main rural campus is a medical clinic which has treated over 2,500 individuals, both in the community and at our boarding high school, since opening in 2012.
