Answered prayer in India, plus more good news from our programs around the world

2026-08-04

We are grateful to share a major step forward for the India nursing college.

In the final hours before the deadline, the remaining funds were given to secure the land lease needed for the full advanced nursing degree boarding program.

Because of the generosity and prayers of our Peace Gospel community, this lease was secured in time to meet the government requirement for additional sports and activity space for boarding students.

This was the practical next step we had been praying and working toward, and by God’s grace, it is now complete.

A scene from one of our 2-year standard degree classrooms. Because of your generosity, our long-prayed-for larger nursing college vision is on track to move forward in time for this academic year.

The larger vision is so meaningful: a sustainable nursing degree program where paying students help support scholarship seats for orphaned and at-risk young women, including girls who have grown up through Peace Gospel’s care.

You helped make this milestone possible!

The sports & activity field land lease, a government requirement for the advanced nursing degree boarding program, has been finalized!

While we’re celebrating, we wanted to share a few more encouraging updates from our programs around the world.

🇺🇬 Uganda: Students Win First Place in Debate

Our Uganda high school students recently represented their school in a district debate tournament, competing against 15 other schools.

They won first place and brought home the trophy!

It was a beautiful reminder of what education can unlock: confidence, leadership, and opportunity for students growing up in one of Uganda’s most under served rural regions.

🇨🇴 Colombia: New Classroom, New Girls at Casa Vida

In Colombia, we were encouraged to receive new photos of the classroom space recently completed off the back courtyard.

This addition was made possible through your generous support of our 2025 year-end campaign.

We were also happy to see photos of several new girls who have recently joined Casa Vida, and we’re thankful this new space was ready to welcome them.

Casa Vida continues to provide education, mentorship, and practical skills training for vulnerable refugee girls near the Venezuelan border.

🇳🇵Nepal: Small Steps Toward Independence

We also received a heartwarming update from Nepal.

Several of our orphan college students are taking encouraging steps forward in their studies and future careers.

Two hotel management students have begun part-time work at nearby cafés, gaining hands-on experience for their degrees, while another is completing a hotel management internship at a resort in Thailand.

We’re also celebrating another of our orphans, a nursing student who recently completed her university research project on the ethical aspects of nursing practice.

Each of these milestones reflects something much bigger: growing confidence, responsibility, practical skills, and steady hope for the future.

In Nepal, education and steady encouragement continue to open doors for our orphan care program graduates!

🇵🇭 Philippines & 🇲🇲 Myanmar: Back to School, Fresh Smiles, and Daily Care

Our teams also shared joyful back-to-school photos from our Cebu Children’s Hope Center, along with new photos from the Myanmar rice farm.

These everyday moments matter: children returning to school, meals being served, farmland helping sustain the work, and local teams faithfully showing up day after day.

Thank you again for walking with us, praying with us, and believing with us.

The India nursing college milestone is a major answer to prayer, and these smaller updates from Uganda, Colombia, Nepal, the Philippines, and Myanmar remind us that God is at work in so many places at once.
