Among the most severely affected of the community are the tens of thousands of orphans left behind by the HIV/AIDS crisis and devastating civil wars. Thus a main focal point in our outreach is to the children of the local community. We operate an orphan care program which serves dozens of children in the local community with nutrition and education support, in addition to our rural Uganda resident orphan care program, several of whom live on the main campus and attend our school. In 2018, our native Kampala team opened a girls home and boys home to care for the increasing number of orphan children found on the streets without food, clothing, medical care, or an education.
Our on-campus medical clinic, Rapha Medical Center, attends to scores of illnesses daily in which orphans are given priority access. Through the efforts of our program, these amazing children are offered both physical and spiritual strength, as our staff shares the Biblical principals of God’s love and care for them through frequent Vacation Bible School day-camps.
