Trafficking Response

Widows and other at-risk women on the island of Cebu are especially susceptible to human trafficking in an area plagued by extreme poverty. However, through our women’s business development program we’re offering hope to some of the island’s most vulnerable. For just $90, we can train and equip a woman in our program to start her own craft business. This includes all supplies and tools required to begin a profitable business. Because we’re assisting in connecting these women directly to buyers as if they were the factory, they enjoy “fair trade” or “direct trade” types of profits. Thus their income potential is much greater than that of a wage earner. Some of our graduates are already earning $150/month in net profits, a very strong income for this part of the world. We also sell their handmade products at SheHasHope.org to generate funding for their program.
