Annual Gala celebrates 30 years of work, raises 11.6% of annual budget in one night

Our biggest event in 30 years was held on Thursday, April 20 in Houston, Texas- our 7th annual “A Taste of Hope” gala!

It’s the one time of the year our staff, donors, and other friends get to gather and celebrate what we’ve achieved together.

This year was an especially important celebration— it’s been 30 years since we first began our work, and our India program founder Samson was able to join us in person to share his story and thank our donors for their support. Our Founder and Executive Director, Kirby Trapolino, shared the miraculous impact of our donors’ support on our programs and what we have accomplished together over the past 30 years.

We were also grateful to have Certified Sommelier Molly Austad, Director of Wine & Beverage at Bludorn, present to share her insights on the elegant selection of wines served. Chef David Ramos once again came through with an incredible 4-course dinner which included tandoori lollipops and filet mignon with Espagnole sauce.

A highlight of the evening was hearing testimonials via video from our program beneficiaries, sharing their stories of courage and overcoming adversities, and how our programs have radically changed their lives.

We were absolutely blown away by the response, with record numbers in both attendance and giving!

Our annual gala is an integral part of what enables us to continue our life-saving work, and God miraculously provided 11.6% of our annual budget— taking us far beyond our goal for the evening!

What an amazing celebration of 30 years of rescued lives and of our donors’ generosity.

Thank you to our business sponsors for their support in making this event a success:

A huge thank you if you were involved in any way in making our gala so successful. We are so humbled and encouraged by your support!
