Annual Report reveals almost 1 million meals served, 23 tons of food harvested, 1105 scholarships granted

We are happy to reflect and share what we’ve achieved together in 2020— a year of unprecedented challenges for all of us.

What follows is our 2020 Year-End Impact Report. When you see the numbers we are sure you’ll agree it’s nothing short of a miracle what our donors helped us accomplish this year at Peace Gospel and She Has Hope.

We are so thankful for our donors and for God’s grace which has sustained our field staff, volunteers, and the more than 1000 women and children who depend on our programs for their security, rehabilitation, nutrition, and education.

FUNDING. Year-to-date, over $700,000 has been raised in support of orphans, trafficking survivors and child labor victims at 21 project locations.

MEALS. Over 700,000 fresh meals (about 2,000/day) were served to children in need thanks to the generosity of our donors and the multiplying effect of our farms and gardens.

ORPHAN CARE. 331 orphans were provided a loving home environment, education, and nutrition consistently throughout the year.

DISASTER RESPONSE. We responded to Metro Manila’s worst flooding in 11 years as well as Yangon’s July floods, delivering critical relief supplies to over 500 families in urgent need.

MULTIPLICATION. 23 tons of food (and counting!) was produced on our farmlands, fisheries, and hen houses, providing operating income and fresh ingredients for our children’s meals.

IMPROVEMENTS. Major renovations and improvements to our orphan homes in Nepal, Rural Uganda, and the Philippines were carried out, a new school building was built to serve our Kampala, Uganda Hope Center School, and ground was broken on our new India Technical College project.

EDUCATION. 1,105 scholarships saved children from hazardous child labor at our 8 Hope Centers and 4 schools.

PANDEMIC RESPONSE. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, over 180,000 meals and 41 tons of food were delivered to struggling impoverished communities in the wake of COVID-19 lockdown-related economic losses.

GIRL GRADUATES. In our She Has Hope human trafficking response programs, 65 girls received their high school diplomas, 30 received college or trade school diplomas, and 20 were commissioned into small business ownership.

TRAFFICKING PREVENTION. 100s of girls across all of our program locations were trained in trafficking avoidance workshops. In Myanmar, we published a new Burmese curriculum to train girls how to avoid the common deceptions of traffickers.

NATIONAL TV. This past week, we were thrilled to receive a very generous airtime mention of She Has Hope human trafficking response programs on Good Morning America!

2020 YEAR-END CAMPAIGN. Our year-end goal will support our Myanmar orphan home and farmland expansion plans, Uganda vehicle need, and other emergency needs we anticipate in the new year.

Here’s the artist’s visualization of our proposed new Myanmar orphan home and education center which will serve 46 of our children on our new land outside Yangon!

We are so thankful for the friendship and support which allowed us to accomplish all of this in 2020, and we look forward to seeing these new goals realized in the coming year!
